The New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants has launched its 17th annual food drive to support the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. Organized by the NJCPA’s Emerging Leaders Council, the drive runs until November 16.
Donors can contribute financially online at njcpa.org/fooddrive or drop off non-perishable items at designated locations, including the NJCPA office in Roseland. Participating firms include Deloitte, Forvis Mazars USA LLP, and Withum across various New Jersey cities. Each participating firm has committed to facilitating donations, with specific addresses provided for drop-offs, ensuring accessibility for donors across the state. The NJCPA office in Roseland, located at 105 Eisenhower Parkway, Suite 300, accepts donations by appointment, offering flexibility for those who prefer in-person contributions.
Addressing Food Insecurity in New Jersey
“Food insecurity is a huge problem throughout the state of New Jersey. Approximately 1 in 10 New Jerseyans experience some form of food insecurity. That is why food drives are so important. It helps your neighbors across the state get the food they need to support themselves and their families,” said Matthew J. Mojica, chair of the Emerging Leaders Council. Mojica is an associate manager in financial reporting at Prudential Financial.

Since 2010, the NJCPA has donated nearly 30,000 pounds of food to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey. Last year, they collected over 2,000 pounds of donations and more than $34,000 in financial contributions. These contributions have directly supported the CFBNJ’s mission to provide meals to those in need, highlighting the long-term impact of the NJCPA’s commitment to combating hunger.
CPAs’ Community Impact Beyond Financial Advice
The Emerging Leaders Council, made up of NJCPA members with up to 10 years of experience, leads the drive. The Community FoodBank of New Jersey, celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, serves over 90 million meals annually through partnerships with 800+ food programs statewide. The anniversary milestone shows the CFBNJ’s enduring role in addressing hunger across New Jersey.
