Codeifai has enhanced its ConnectQR app by integrating it with ChatGPT and Claude, enabling users to generate and manage QR codes via natural language interactions. This update expands access to its dynamic QR platform, complementing its existing Canva app and web dashboard, according to the company.
John Houston, Codeifai CEO, stated that integrating ConnectQR with ChatGPT and Claude will place the product where many people begin their everyday work. He said, “A user can create, manage, and measure QR codes in a ‘Chat’ conversation, and every code they save will bring a new account onto our self-service platform.”
Expanding User Base
ConnectQR has seen significant growth, with user accounts increasing by more than 750% since its integration with Canva in October 2024. As of October 8, the app had 8541 user accounts, up from approximately 1000 in its October 2024 update.

Users will be able to create QR codes without an account, asking the assistant to generate a code for a website, WiFi network, business card, or social profile. They can adjust colors and patterns in the conversation, and saving the code will prompt a ConnectQR sign-in or new account creation.
Dynamic QR Codes
Account holders can create dynamic codes whose destinations change after printing, manage existing codes, and track scan activity through charts and maps. This allows businesses to update the page behind a printed code without replacing promotional materials and check which locations or campaigns attract scans.
The company’s integration uses the Model Context Protocol, enabling one implementation to serve both AI assistants and potentially extend to others adopting the standard. This could provide a substantial distribution channel, with ChatGPT reaching 1.2 billion people weekly and Anthropic reporting over 300,000 business customers in September 2025.

The broader QR code market is estimated to be worth US$15.23 billion in 2026, with forecasts suggesting it will reach US$33.14 billion by 2031, representing 16.82% annual compounding growth. The retail industry’s barcode transition is also driving demand for dynamic QR platforms, which can connect printed materials to updatable content.
GS1’s industry goal is to enable next-generation barcodes at retail checkouts globally by the end of 2027, alongside existing barcodes. QR codes using GS1 Digital Link can support checkout identification and connect shoppers to online product information. The EU’s Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation also establishes digital product passports, with carriers such as QR codes linking users to product information.
Codeifai’s immediate focus is converting its expanding free account base into paid subscriptions. The company is employing targeted emails to users reaching their free allowance, better sign-up tracking, and simpler email verification. Accounts created through the AI assistants will use the existing plans and pricing, providing Codeifai with another route to customers without introducing a separate product subscription.
