This is the second semester of the two-semester course for beginners, or a refresher course for non-native speakers with other equivalent experience. In this course, students will continue their introduction to basic standard Mandarin Chinese, spoken by over a billion people in mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, and other parts of the world. They will learn to comprehend, speak, read, and write on a variety of topics related to daily life. The course will also expand on the student's growing knowledge of essential aspects of Chinese culture.
